Name Art

We have been working on some name art in Room 5. We wrote our names on A3 paper then once we got the right size  we wrote our names in bubble letters. We coloured the name in, went round it with Vivid, then drew patterns around the name.We used coloured pencils and Sharpie's.

I am the one who is  famous for collecting money in a box for a special  house.

I am the son of a dad that loves to take me fishing whenever he can.

I am the grandson who loves my Nana by helping her all the time.

I am a friend  who likes people by their nice attitude.

I am the Scout who really enjoys learning new things.

I am a helper who does jobs around my little village.

I am a cat and dog feeder who always gets scared of the neighbour’s dog.

How to Solve a Problem

We learnt how to solve a problem with Harold from Life Education. Here is a short video of me and my buddy, Isabel. This will show you how to solve your fighting problems on the playground or when you are playing a game.

We are learning to describe a setting and a character

In Room 5 we are learning to  describe a setting and a character in our writing. We each wrote our own description. Here is mine.

Snow on the Hill.

It was a cold and windy day. On the big straight frozen road there was a car slowly driving along. As the grey sad looking clouds very slowly lifted away, the trees  swayed from side to side.   You could hear the ice softly crackling then there was a different sound; they looked up and spotted the branches from the ash trees snapping and falling onto the car roof. There was not a single animal in sight. Oliver was playing on his i-pad in the back seat of the car. Oliver was wearing a blue scarf, green gloves, red gumboots, a blue jacket and black pants. He was feeling excited because he was going to play in the snow at the park that was about five minutes from his house.  When he got to the park he wanted to make a gigantic snowman that had sticks as arms.

 

Waiuta Camp

This term we went to Waiuta for camp. This is my slideshow.

Cricket,

On the 1st of November we went outside to learn some cricket skills. We played Snowball Tag. Then we learned to pick up the ball in one hand, then put it in the other hand then put it back down at the next cone. Then we played a full game of cricket. Here is my slideshow. Hope you enjoy it.
