Room 5 Camp 2017

Room 5 went on camp to Hanmer Springs. I had a great time and enjoyed going to the hot pools.

Flicka The Sloth

We wrote a poem about a sloth. We had to describe the character, setting,  its special talent, problem, its feeling and  how it solved the problem. Here is my poem. 

Long ago there was a sloth wandering around the jungle who was very slow!

Flicka lived in a hollow where she would sleep, and stay safe from predators.

She could hang upside down and she dangled down on thin bamboo branches.

One day she was climbing around on high branches when a tiger came along, luckily she was up high but that didn’t really help her.

Flicka felt scared cause she knew the tiger would eat her, but it didn’t.

At that moment the tiger slipped off of the branch, hurt itself, then ran away till it was out of sight, and Flicka the sloth went back home to sleep and live another day.

The Kiwi and the Cat

In class I have been learning how to make a Stop Motion Animation and make it look better by making my characters smaller and bigger to make it look real.

Netball Court

In class we had to measure our school netball court. We had to estimate it by measuring the width and the length by steps. Every two steps was a metre.   Then we had to measure the perimerter which is the whole outside of the netball court. Tane Jake and I made a drawing about it.

Kiwi Creche

Room 5 went to the Kiwi Creche to see the great spotted kiwi. Tane and myself made a slideshow about it. Enjoy!

Pet Day

In week One 2017 we had Pet Day at school. I made a slideshow with my buddy Deakyn.

Morepork

In class we have been learning about the Morepork.  We made a slideshow about it and wrote down some information about it. We had to research and write about it. Our group worked together well and made a great slideshow and here it is. Enjoy!
