Waiuta Camp

This term we went to Waiuta for camp. This is my slideshow.

Cricket,

On the 1st of November we went outside to learn some cricket skills. We played Snowball Tag. Then we learned to pick up the ball in one hand, then put it in the other hand then put it back down at the next cone. Then we played a full game of cricket. Here is my slideshow. Hope you enjoy it. 

Self-Portrait

 This is my self-portrait, I used oil pastels and pencil. Something I learned is that the eyes always go on the middle of the face. Something I found difficult was trying not to smudge pastel. 

Spelling

In spelling I am learning to spell words with endings.Some of the words I have been learning are try, tried, trying. This is  a sentence  I wrote with the word tried in it. I tried to lift the rock off the road.

Here is my explanation for What are the Olympic Games? We had to think about who,what,when in our first couple of sentences.

What are the Olympic Games?

Lots of athletes come  from all different countries to compete in the  Olympic Games and sports every four years.

The athletes try to break records and win medals. The athletes compete against other countries to make a peaceful world.

The athletes compete in shot put, shooting and other sports like cycling, swimming, rowing, and high jump.

Most people want to win medals. To win a medal you have to get 1st ,2nd ,3rd place. The Olympic events run for over seventeen days.

The athletes wear uniforms to represent their country. At the opening ceremony one athlete is chosen to hold the flag to show what country they represent.

At the Olympics there are team sports and individual sports. The team sports  are where you have to work in a group for example  netball or rowing. In the individual sports you have to work alone for example running, swimming.

My conclusion is that the Olympics is a good time for other countries to get along together.

Typing Tutor

I have been learning typing for 5 to 10 mins. At the moment I am working on the a key something I have found hard is not looking at the keyboard.
